The Love Food Hate Waste project is a NSW Government initiative aiming to reduce the amount of food waste created in our communities. The program is ongoing and continues to encourage actions for households and businesses such as planning meals, using leftovers and reducing portion size.
This particular project was produced for The University of Newcastle and was included in the orientation packs for all incoming students on campus. The deliverables consisted of a 76-page cookbook with recipes submitted by students, as well as useful information about food storage, cooking guidelines and particular initiatives available for University students. The entire design and photography for the book was undertaken by Lucreative, alongside the design of an accompanying shopping list, meal planner and ‘kitchen companion’ (a pocket sized, reduced pages version of the cookbook).
Lucreative were particularly proud to work within a large team to bring this environmental initiative to Newcastle University.
